The revelation comes to us directly from the CEO of Apple

Just like we had expected the Apple iWatch was unveiled alongside the iPhone 6 on its September 9th event and we were quite happy to see lots of details on the event but there is still a lot of stuff that we need to know about the smartwatch despite the expansive list of features which were revealed. With every passing day we are learning more and more about the new Apple gadget and by the time we will get closer to the launch date, we are pretty sure we will get to know a lot more.

We already know that the iWatch is going to need an iPhone connected to it via Bluetooth in order to become functional fully but you will be glad to hear that there is one feature that doesn’t require a wireless connection and it’s the most important feature; music. You heard that right. With your Apple iWatch, you are going to be able to listen directly to music from your wrist via your connected Bluetooth headphones and you don’t need an Iphone for this purpose.

This feature was revealed by the Apple CEO himself who said “It requires an iPhone, because they’ve been designed to work together. However, if you go for a run, and you don’t want to carry your iPhone, music is also on your watch. So with a Bluetooth headset, you can run and listen to your music without your iPhone.”
