Legendary actor Gerard Depardieu tells in magazine interview about his extreme drinking habit.

I am a huge fan of Gerard Depardieu as an actor. He stars in movies since the 70s and has not slowed down. Recently he made more headlines with his love for Russia and political comments about Putin. He even got the Russian citizenship because of the French rich tax. Depardieu is also known for enjoying live at the fullest especially food and wine. He owns his own vineyard.

In an interview with magazine So Film the actor revealed his extreme drinking habit. He said to the question about wine: "When I'm bored, I drink. Apart from occasional compulsory moments of abstinence. After undergoing bypass surgery (five times), and also because of cholesterol and stuff, I have to be careful. Anyway, I’m not going to die. Not now. I still have energy. But if ever I start drinking… I can’t drink like a normal person. I can absorb 12, 13, 14 bottles…per day. But I’m never totally drunk, just a little pissed. All you need is a 10-minute nap and voilà, a slurp of rosé wine and I feel as fresh as a daisy! I have to admit that when I start counting, doctors start worrying."

Seriously. I cannot imagine to drink 14 bottles of wine a day. It happened that if the wine and the company is good that I drank one bottle. There is though usually a price to pay the next morning.
