Never before has a magician won the America's Got Talent competition. Mat Franco became fascinated with the art of magic after seeing it on television at age four. He grew up in Rhode Island and Mat Franco's way of learning magic was by watching magicians on TV. He would videotape the shows and then study them for hours.
