Valerie Bertinelli Encourages Women to Be Fearless

Actress Valerie Bertinelli was the guest speaker in this year's Fresno conference. In her speech, Valerie encouraged women to get over their fears. The 54 year old star requested all the 3,451 ladies and a few gentlemen who had attended the conference to close their eyes for a minute and take a deep breath. According to Valerie, this exercise helps in dealing with fear.

Valerie is known by many for the debut she received on her TV show One Day at a Time. The actress currently stars in Hot in Cleveland. Valerie stated that once a person has dealt with her fears, it is advisable to forgive, be good and generous to oneself. She advised the ladies to be quick in moving on with their lives despite experiencing failure.

According to FB, Valerie argued that it is normal to be scared. She encouraged participants to be bold especially when the matter at hand carries a lot of weight. She used George O'Keeffe to describe how people should face their fears. Valerie was accompanied by her husband, Tom Vitale.

During the conference, the actress narrated her story from childhood to adulthood and explained the challenges she had encountered. Despite the presence of her husband, Valerie did not hesitate to talk about her previous marriage with Eddie Van Halen. Besides that, she explained the lessons she had learned early in her acting career and how she felt following the birth of her son 23 years ago. She further added that she was a bit concerned at how she has gained a lot of weight.

Valerie exhibited a lot of confidence throughout the conference. There was an instance when one of the participants asked her whether she had gone through cosmetic surgery. At this point, Valerie moved closer to the participant and pulled her hair back just to let her see for herself.

Valerie pointed out that there would be scars on her face if she had gone through surgery. The conference was complimented by over 27 seminars. There were many experts drawn from different fields including entrepreneurship, health, money and parenting.The event was brought about to empower women financially and emotionally.
