Benedict Cumberbatch fans are in for a treat. In the upcoming movie The Imitation Game he portraits legendary computer pioneer Alan Turing. Watch the trailer.

Let me get this out of the way. I am a huge fan of Benedict Cumberbatch. He is awesome in Sherlock and he does and awesome Chewebacca impression (watch below).

Benedict Cumberbatch will star as one of the biggest geeks in history. He will star as Alan Turing in the new movie The Imitation Game. The Imitation Game tells the true story against time during World War II in Britain. The movie is following Alan Turing, the pioneer of modern-day computing, and his team at Britain's top-secret code-breaking center, Bletchley Park. Turing genius significantly shortened the war by cracking the German Enigma code

Besides Cumberbatch the cast in The Imitation Game includes Keira Knightley (Atonement), Matthew Goode (A Single Man), Mark Strong (Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy), Rory Kinnear (Skyfall), Charles Dance (Gosford Park, TV's Game of Thrones), Allen Leech (In Fear, TV's Downton Abbey) and Matthew Beard (An Education).

The Imitation Game is not the first Alan Turing movie by a long shot. In 2001 there was the movie Enigma with Dougray Scott and Kate Winslet. In 1996 there was Breaking the Code with Derek Jacobi and the TV movie Codebreak from 2011. I also remember watching a black and white movie about Turing, but I can't find it.

Watch the trailer below.

The Imitation Game will be in Theaters on November 21 in the United States and November 14 in the still united UK.

And now enjoy Benedict Cumberbatch's Chewebacca impression.
