Gwen Stefani and Pharrell Williams showed their stuff on The Voice Season 7.

No Doubt’s song “Hella Good” got sung by among others, Gwen Stefani, Pharrell Williams, Blake Shelton and Adam Levine. It was Season 7 and the song just couldn’t hold a candle up to the medley performed in Season 6.

Gwen led the crowd in a chant that never seemed to end. There were basically a few singers that got selected in this season. They included people who could be counted on the fingers of one hand. Luke Wade was one.

His rendition of “That’s How Strong My Love Is” brought the house down. Everyone commended the effort as excellent. Wade lost one eye in a paintball accident but he has never let that mishap get him down.

Then there was Clara Hong, whose “Chuck E’s in Love” was also greatly appreciated. Clara learnt English as a foreign language through her musical training. She hails from South Korea and immigrated to the US of A. She has taken her inspiration from Norah Jones.

Getting on with it, we come to Bryana Salaz. She sang Ariana Grande’s “Problem”. Bryana is an adolescent military phenom and she hails from Texas. Then there was Damien. He sang a song with a long title.

Having Louisiana as his provenance, he began his musical journey with high hopes. Allison Bray sang “Merry Go Round” and wowed the crowd. She has definitely improved in this round thanks to her breath control exercises.

Taylor John Williams sang “Heartless” which is a Kanye West hit. And he gave the song a new twist of his own. Elyjuh Rene sang “XO”. He has often said that he is a mama’s boy. And he sang the Beyonce number with passion and went into its intricate details via his beautiful voice.

Finally, we have James David Carter. He sang “Nobody Knows”. The show was on the whole a success. It highlighted musical talent and the beginnings of genius in a raw manner. And audiences everywhere enjoyed the performances of the contestants.
