The beautiful blonde singer, Carrie Underwood discussed everything from babies to the nature of the beats in her new songs recently.

Carrie Underwood is an upbeat mom-to be and loves the very idea of music. She is full of bright and positive hopefulness and hasn’t quite gotten used to the idea of eating for two. While she let the world know of her preggers state a month ago, she herself has yet to completely accept it on an intimate level.

Motherhood is a tough journey of aches and pains besides the joys and precious moments. Carrie admits that sometimes she is sitting down with her hubby and shares the fact with him that it all feels so surrealistic. That is when her husband, Mike Fisher, reminds her that it will all go as per plan and that she has nothing whatsoever to be worried about.

“It’s still kind of weird, to be honest,” Carrie said Friday on Today. “Sometimes I’ll be with my husband and I’m like, ‘I’m going to be a mom. You’re going to be a dad. Like, is this real life?’ But we’re really excited.”

Carrie posted a pic of her with her two canines on Twitter. Carrie Underwood plans on following the example of her mother who is her ideal when it comes to raising kids.

According to Carrie, even if she could accomplish 10% of what her mama dearest was capable of, she would have succeeded in the quest to be the best mother on the face of the planet.

“I have a wonderful mother, so if I can be even a little bit like that, I think we’ll be good,” she said.

Carrie is going to perform for the Global Citizen Festival in NYC tomorrow. Jay-Z, No Doubt and Sting will be some of the other musicologists present on the occasion. The project-cum-concert is an effort at ending global poverty within a decade and a half.

Carrie said that there were a billion and one causes throughout the world and that if you cared to donate to even one of them it would make a difference in the long run. After all, the longest journey begins with a single step.

“They’re so many causes; you can .find something that you’re really passionate about,” Underwood said

The American Idol contestant and winner said that her new musical number “Something in the Water” was to come out soon. It was about change and how to take it one step at a time. To take things normally as they came with a smile on your face was the ultimate form of stoicism and made you larger than life.

"The news is out! "Something in the Water" single available Monday from my album "Greatest Hits: Decade #1" out December 9!," Carrie captioned above Instagram.
