Gerjuan Harmon was already on parole for a previous burglary.

Earlier this year, Jillian Michaels Bentley was stolen by a parole who had a long criminal record.

After adding the theft of the car to his record, the Los Angeles County prosecutor's office announced that 31-year-old Gerjuan Harmon was to be sentenced on Friday, September 26th. The judge ordered him sentenced to 17 years in state prison.

In 2012, Harmon took Michael’s belongings, including a purse containing the keys to her Bentley GT, while she and her family watched television inside her Malibu home.

Burbank police tried to pull Harmon over the next day, but he fled. He eventually crashed the car and tried to run away but was caught in a shed.

In 2013, Harmon was convicted of fleeing police, hit-and-run and unlawful taking of a vehicle. Prosecutors said the 2011 Bentley GT was stolen from the former “Biggest Loser” trainer's home on July 3, 2012, while she and her family watched television inside.

A jury convicted Harmon of burglary with a person present and grand theft. The other counts were debated amongst the jury, but they could not reach a conclusion on whether to find him guilty or not for the other charges.
