Gal Gadot Will Feature in Ben-Hur After Wonder Woman

Gal Gadot is set to assume a character in Ben-Hur. HollywoodReporter has learned that the actress is in the progress of closing the deal with the epic film's executives. The actress will be assigned the role of Esther, a slave character that will get into an intimate relationship with Ben-Hur. The characters have actually been assigned to various members of the cast team. Jack Huston will play the role of a prince.

Besides that, Toby Kebbell will play as Messala who will be an old friend to the Jewish prince. Messala will later sell out the prince to bondage. Jack will not get his freedom unless he puts up a fight. The man will not only fight for his release but also to get even with those who offended him in the past.

Ben-Hur will first need to prove himself by winning the chariot races. Since he has no experience in the game, he will need the mentorship of Morgan Freeman. The film will be directed by Timur Bekmambetov.

The film is an advanced version of a film that was done by Charlton Heston back in 1959. The film is said to have scooped a total of 11 awards back then so we are wondering whether this one will also be a killer.

The film is based on a novel titled Ben-Hur: A Tale of the Christ that was authored by Lew Wallace. The novel was first published in 1880. The script was penned by Keith Clarke followed by a rewrite that was done by John Ridley.

The film will be produced by the same people who produced The Bible. Mark Burnett will oversee the film's production while Roma Downey will be the overall producer. Other producers include Sean Daniel, Joni Levin and Jason F. Brown.

Filming will take place in Europe. As for the premier, you need to keep your fingers crossed because it will hit the screens in February 2016.

Gadot has in deed featured in many films including First & Furious. The actress later played Wonder Woman in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice. Gadot has so many films in the pipeline including Tripple Nine and Criminal.
