Apple announces iMac with Retina Display

iMac with Retina Display is the World's highest resolution display and Apple is calling it "retina 5K."

Apple has announed its 27-inch imac with retina display featuring 5120* 2880 resolution. Apple is calling it "Retina 5K" which is 7x more pixels than 1080p and 67 percent more pixels than the 4K. 

iMac with Retina Display starts at $2,499 and starts to ship today.

The new iMac is just 5 mm thick, Apple has created a custom"timming controller" chip to control the new display. Intrestingly this new display consumes 30 percent less energy which is just amazing. 

N ow the specs, the 27-inch Retina display iMac is now powered by 4.0 Ghz Core i7 processor along with AMD Radeon R9 graphics. It comes with 8GB of Ram and 1TB of PCI e flash storage. If this is not enough for you, you can upgrade to 32 Gb of RAM a 3TB Fusion Drive or 1TB of PCI e flash storage.  and 


Apple is pricing it at $2499 and it starts shipping today. 21-inch iMac is now $1099 while the non retina 27-inch model is just $1799.
