Patriots WR Julian Edelman Says Locker Room Chaos Will Bring Positive Results

New England Patriots wide receiver, Julian Edelman is optimistic that the recent chaos that was experienced in the locker room will bring positive results. According to Suntimes, Edelman stated that the fight will actually unite the team than ever before which will contribute to the overall improvement of the team's performance.

The Patriots clashed with Miami on Sunday where they were beaten 27-14. Once the last whistle was blown, the entire team retired to the locker room where media reports claim that Brandon Marshal was heard screaming at the top of his lungs. According to people who were around, the team members blamed each other for the loss.

Edelman was speaking on 93.7 FM WEEI where he said that the differences they had would make them work harder because each of them knows what they failed to do. “After last week, what they had to go through, they’re gonna be fired up,” Edelman said. “That’s gonna bring them together. It’s gonna be the ‘my bad’ in there this week. Everyone is gonna kind of get together and they’re gonna try and fight. We definitely have to take this in and go out and practice and do our jobs.”

Patriots are set to clash with Chicago Bears this coming Sunday at Gillette Stadium. Julian argued that Bears are good in playing defensive games. “Chicago, they’re a good team, they got a lot of weapons,” Edelman said. “Their defense is kind of that old school Bears defense. They’ll do a lot of zone possibly, this, that. You always expect a team’s best when they come in and play us, especially at home.”

Patriots clashed with New York Jets on Thursday where they won after scoring 27 against Jet's 25. However, failure by Tom to capture two passes from Julian. Edelman knows that Patriots can not repeat the same mistake on Sunday with the Bears because it might cost them dearly.

"I definitely have to go in there and I've got to show him that i can go not drop easy balls or try to run with the ball before i have it, said Edelman. "I'm sure that he'll come back because that's how he is.He's going to throw to the open guy. it's definitely a different situation (than in the past years), but i definitely have to eliminate that immediately and go back to the drawing boards and catch more balls and work on it."

Edelman has so far recorded 44 receptions for 453 yards and only one touch down during the season. The performance that he has exhibited this season is way below what the fans are used to from the previous seasons. The star has defended himself by pointing out that he is interested in upping his game every other week and he can not get the desired results on his own because everyone's performance affects the team.

"Like we say every week, we just try to go out each and every week and get better," argued Edelman. "That's what we're trying to do. There's a lot of situations that we have to get better at. But we consistently put in the work. Guys are going out there, they're working hard, they're making plays in practice and it's translating into games. It's going to help the team. as long as we can just keep it going, keep getting better, everyone contributing, everyone doing their job, that's how it goes."
