This song is also a part of Bette Midler’s new album “It’s the Girls”. This cover is a tribute to all the girls that gave inspiration to Bette Midler. TLC has selected artists that worked in the previous seven decades. This time TLC has chosen Bette Midler, Martha and The Vandellas, The Andrews Sisters, and The Boswell Sisters. This team will add a unique flavor to this album that will be enchanting for sure.

Bette Midler said that she chose this song as she was inspired by it. She also said that Waterfalls was a very special song to every mother out there. She said that Waterfalls had a big effect on her. She also revealed that she never thought that she would be able to sing this song. However she felt delighted to have taken a chance at singing this song.

Her song became an instant hit after its release on the Internet. Her eager fans showed a lot of interest on twitter at its release. Within a few hours her song reached the No. 5 spot on the Billboard + Twitter Trending 140.

Bette Midler is the second female singer who has released a cover song for TLC. Aretha Franklin was the first one to do the job. “It’s the Girls” is released by Bette Midler after a gap of 8-years from her previous album. Her last album was released in 2006. Her new album will be released in November.

Bette Midler said that TLC’s album is filled with all sorts of surprises for eager fans. She further added that it was a great opportunity to work with an all-girls-team. She felt excited to be a part of it. She said that it was an honor to work with the great legends of music. She also described her liking specially designed costumes and dances. She added that this album portrayed that women went through difficult phases in life.
