Apple Pay is now the most secure mobile payment platform ever

Apple Pay has finally rolled out this week and there are people who are still remaining skeptical, but there are a few reasons to think tha tAple Pay is going to be the most secure mobile payment system that has ever been produced.

The first thing to keep in mind is that the Touch ID technology makes sure that no one else can use your phone to purchase anything using Apple Pay. The fingerprint sensor built into newer iPhones is one of the most secure things Apple has produced.

There is also the Token system to think about. Using what Apple calls a “token,” payments are made without transmitting any credit card information. Apple Pay, instead, sends a code to the point-of-sale system that the retailer is using, letting them process the payment right then and there. With retailers like Target being hacked recently, this is a big deal. In fact, the credit card data is stored exclusively on the iPhone itself, making it impossible to intercept at any point in time.

These are what make Apple Pay incredibly secure. There is still the problem of convincing more retailers to begin using it, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t be excited about it.
