Rapper Suge Knight and Micah Williams have been accused of theft of a woman's camera in Beverly Hills according to prosecutors.

The rap mogul Knight and Kat Williams were arrested on Wednesday in a two-state sting operation that sent the pair to jail for at least the weekend. Knight, 49, who was picked up in Las Vegas, could get 30 years to life in state prison if convicted due to his prior for assault with a deadly weapon, prosecutors said.

Alki David, who is the founder of FilmOn described the situation to be a misunderstanding. David stated that Knight and Williams were not the aggressors in the altercation that led up to the camera being taken away from the woman.

"Katt was attacked by a mad woman with a camera," David told the Daily News. "A girlfriend of Katt's quite rightly defended him, but there was no actual altercation."

Sources connected to the rap mogul told TMZ that the photographer was filming Suge's 4-year-old son in an alley, and when one of Katt Williams' female companions asked her to stop she just kept shooting.

Afterwards the friend confronted the woman photographing his son and the pair got into an argument. The friend asked the woman to erase the video she was taking of Suge's son, but refused which led up to the altercation.

Williams, 41, faces the same charge and was arrested Wednesday morning after he arrived at an Inglewood court for arraignment in a separate assault case dating back to July, prosecutors said.

Prosecutors are asking that bail be set at $1 million for Knight and $75,000 for Williams.
Williams faces up to seven years in custody if convicted, authorities said.

The alleged run-in with the photographer took place a little more than a week after Knight was released from Cedars-Sinai Medical Center following a nightclub shooting where he was treated for multiple bullet wounds.
