Christian Bale bailed, but Sony reportedly has already the next candidate.

Apple fans have been pretty happy with the news in late October that Christian Bale would play Steve Jobs in the Sony produce biopic based on Walter Isaacson's biography. Screenwriter Aaron Sorkin said back then: “We needed the best actor on the board in a certain age range and that’s Chris Bale,” Sorkin told Bloomberg Television’s Emily Chang on a coming edition of “Studio 1.0.” “He didn’t have to audition. Well, there was a meeting.”

Early today we reported that Christian Bale has pulled out of the Steve Jobs movie. Christian Bale would have been perfect in my eyes. It will be interesting to learn what his concerns have been about playing Steve Jobs.

Now Variety reports that Sony is not waisting any time and is in talks with Michael Fassbender to take the Steve Jobs role. Fassbender is a great actor. I can see him do the Steve Jobs role. Let's see if he takes it on.

Steve Wozniak is supposed to be played by Seth Rogen, unless he also develops conflicting feelings about his role.
