"I've always wanted to be a mom."

Rachel Bilson and her boyfriend Hayden Christensen have welcomed their first child as a couple together according to reports.

The couple gave birth to a baby girl with a Disney themed name of Briar Rose. The name stems from the 1959 classic Disney movie 'Sleeping Beauty.' The three fairies in the feature animated film call the girl Briar Rose, and was also used in the 1812 story about the Grimm Brothers.

Us broke the news back in May that Bilson, 33, and the Star Wars actor, also 33, were expecting a baby. "They've both talked about this for awhile and are so excited," an insider told Us. "Everyone is beyond thrilled for them."

Earlier this year, before it was revealed that the former O.C. starlet was expecting, Bilson shared her hopes of having a family in the near future.

"I've always wanted to be a mom," she told Health magazine. "I have always wanted kids. I can just see this little toddler waddling around the house."

And in her opinion, she's got just the right guy by her side. Bilson told Health about Christensen, "He's so incredibly supportive and considerate. It's so basic—that should be there. Because these things are so much more important when you're older. I've been in my relationship for seven years, so we've grown up together in a way. This is my partner, my support, just there for me no matter what. And vice versa."

Christensen who played Anakin Skywalker in the second and third 'Star Wars' movies, first met Bilson on the set of the movie 'Jumper' and began dating in 2007. The pair were engaged in 2008 but called off the wedding in 2010, only to reconcile their differences three months later. They have been a couple ever since the breakup in 2010.
