  • Dave Chappelle is ready for a Comeback.

The hilarious comedian, Dave Chappelle remained away from the limelight for quite some time. But now it looks like he is ready for a comeback.

He was (and is) indeed the king of comedy. Some of his comedic acts are so funny that they literally make you bust a gut laughing. About a decade ago, Dave waved goodbye to his stint on Comedy Central and just dematerialized from the media’s radar.

This occurred when he was at the very peak of his fame. His name was one to be reckoned with. The man obviously had tons of talent. That is when the flying rumors went ballistic. He was undergoing a makeover. A change. A new show of his own would be in the making.

However, recently during the summer season, he did ten shows that instantly clicked with the audience. He also sat down for an in-depth interview and revealed some of the issues he faced and why he decided to return to the comedy scene in the end.

Dave is a happy man in his current status as undoubtedly the best comedian in the world. He can beat Jim Carrey hands down. Even such topping talents as Jay Leno, Seinfeld and Chris Rock are no match for him. He is simply the acme of the profession which has such people in it which make others laugh while they themselves go around in sorrow.

But Dave is a person who has a child-like sense of wonder and he finds inspiration and joy in the least likeliest of sources. He enacts a funny dialogue between a panderer and a whore on his smart phone before the start of the interview.

His grinning face says a million things about him including his unbeatable way of remaining on top of the things that are happening in his life. Dave’s history can be summed up in him making a whole lot of cash via his job and then becoming a hermit for awhile.

For more than half a decade, nothing was known about where he was and what he was doing. He spent his time relaxing and chilling out on a farmhouse and he refused to be baited by the media circus. However, his recent reappearance made audiences all over the world sit up and take notice.

He even started a Twitter account which unfortunately got hacked. He still loves to play practical jokes since Dave is ever the perrennial prankster. And it looks like all he needed was a little time to recuperate from the harsh glare of the spotlight. Now that has recovered his mojo he is back with a vengeance.

The phrase from the song “Back in Black” has never been more relevant. Dave refers to his quarantine period as a sort of self-induced moratorium of the variety that maybe Superman would undergo just to get away from it all. Doing comedy skits for the sake of pecuniary gain is something that Dave has made a detour for.

He reminds one of Muhammad Ali who said when he was banned from boxing for his refusal to fight the Vietcong…“I don’t miss boxing. I just miss boxing for money!” which was well said indeed. Chappelle explained that he saw some stuff he did as excellent material and then there were other things that just didn’t tally.

Dave admits that he had all the money and fame and happiness in the world. Then why did he quit at the pinnacle of his popularity? Well, there was his family to consider including his kids who were being affected by his fame. And he wanted to test the waters after a break since change would obviously do him good.

Continuing wrecklessly would have cost him his quality of life. His latest round of ten shows in Radio City was somewhat of a spark in the dark and they reignited the mindscape of laughs, giggles and guffaws that Dave generates in such quantity. His fans simply love him and cannot get enough of him.

They adore every word about the lighter side of life that emerges from his lips. The man is a virtual live wire when it comes to his comedy acts. The ten shows were a chance that Dave could not afford to miss out on. And he also revealed in the interview that he is a TV buff.

Yes, Dave may be all high and mighty and famous yet he just likes to open a can of beer and watch some reruns on the boob tube at home for the sheer pleasure of it. Now that is what you call living in the love of the common people!
