Times Square, New York – the one place where the world dreams to be and the centre of the most happening New Year Eve and now Google has its eyes on the attraction. Not that the Times Square needed any more thrill but the search giant has decided to add its spark to the most popular destination in the most popular city of the world. According to what we have heard, the search giant is making preparations to install the largest electronic billboard ever installed on the iconic, neon-laced strip.

The entire city block is going to be covered by the billboard which will be powered by a Mitsubishi Electric large-scale display (the Diamond Vision AVL-ODT10). This display is capable of delivering a pixel density of 2,368 x 10,048 and it would leave our jaws dropped open till the floor to hear that this pixel density exceeds the 4K display resolution by 15 million pixels.

The billboard will be located at 1535 Broadway, between 45th and 46th streets and is only about a mile and a half from Google's New York headquarters. The record-setting billboard measures 77.69 feet by 329.65 feet. Clear Channel spokesperson told Mashable that “This is the largest billboard on Broadway ever. "[And] the largest digital billboard in North America."

You will only have to wait till Monday to see the Billboard go live and wait till you hear that it is going to feature an interactive Android game which will be open to the public till Tuesday at 9 p.m. The public is also going to get an opportunity to get their custom Androidify characters, created on site, made into t-shirts and postcards.
