Alaska Airlines Cyber Monday sale announced.

Alaska Airlines Cyber Monday 2014 sale will begin on Sunday 6pm CT. The airline ticket cyber sale will last a while week until December 8. You will be able to purchase tickets for travel between Jan. 6 and March 4, 2015.

"We won't reveal the destinations until Sunday, but we can promise you'll discover amazing places for amazing prices," said Curtis Kopf, Alaska's vice president of customer innovation.

Alaska Airlines set up a Cyber Monday countdown clock at alaskaair.com/cybermonday. A nice Cyber deal on an airlines ticket to Hawaii sure would be nice.

Alaska Airlines serves more than 100 cities through an expansive network in Alaska, the Lower 48, Hawaii, Canada and Mexico.

Cyber Monday 2014 is expected to generate $2.6 billion in sales. Black Friday sales are predicted to reach $2.48 billion.

Cyber Monday, a term coined by Shop.org in 2005, got established when retailers saw a trend of consumers shopping online on the Monday after Thanksgiving. Today, Cyber Monday is viewed as the online equivalent to Black Friday. Cyber Monday 2013 is expected to a huge sales day again this year - most likely the biggest.
