Samsung filed a lawsuit for property damage and defamation against five LG execs back in September

For everyone who is into technology, the CES presents the day of the year and for the electronics manufacturers, this is surely their own personal version of Super Bowl, Academy Awards, and Mecca pilgrimage all rolled into one and no one would miss it for anything. However, Jo Seong-jin, the head of LG's home appliance division, didn’t take it that seriously and he surely didn’t think twice before sabotaging Samsung washing machine displays in Germany. He stands a pretty high chance of getting banned from the biggest tech event of the year which is scheduled to take place in Las Vegas.

The incident took place months ago in September when Seong-jin faced allegations for sabotaging Samsung washing machines. And soon after, Samsung filed a lawsuit for property damage and defamation against five executives of LG as it claimed that they had "intentionally sabotaged the door hinges of one of its washing machines at an electronics store there." Surprisingly, Samsung also seems to have a CCTV footage which depicts this act of exec-on-electronic violence.

Reports from CNET have revealed that out of the five executives blamed for the sabotage by Samsung, only Seong-jin faces a travel ban after he refused to comply "to any of the multiple requests to attend [court], citing packed schedules due to the year end's reshuffle and preparing for the upcoming tradeshow."

LG is currently trying its best to lift the ban off its executive and it is being said that they have promised this time to comply with all the demands from the prosecutors soon after the CES is over in January.
