With a 7 inch display, the Boss promises to keep your data safe

Security has become a key function in almost all of our possessions and it hasn’t become so due to part of our consciousness but mostly because it’s the need of the hour. Manufacturers of various devices are capitalizing on this need and startup Briggs & Spriggs, Inc. has followed into the same line with its Boss Phone laying the most emphasis on security as well as privacy. The company claims that the giant 7-inch smartphone went underway development soon after David Briggs tried to upload a YouTube video and failed – all this while attending his brother’s wedding in Turkey.

This is when the idea was coined of integrating a geographically anonymous operating system with a cellular device. The OS in this case was The Onion Router (Tor) and this gave birth to the company’s Boss Phone. As we mentioned earlier, the device sports a mammoth of a 7 inch display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and this is of course to be the highlighting factor of the device. For those who like the idea of phablets, this is going to be great but for those who wouldn’t prefer having such giant screens, there is more which will ultimately attract them. Behind this smartphone is a pretty secure connection thanks to the Onion Router (Tor).

The Boss Phone runs on android 5.0 Lollipop and is powered by a Mediatek octa-core processor. There is sufficient 16 GB of internal storage but it is also expandable by microSD. The camera setup combines a rear 8 MP camera with a 2 MP front shooter. You can get your hands on the phone through the Indiegogo campaign where the handset’s price starts at $275 for the “first responders.
