One of the leaders in the fitness market is branching out to help its customers track their fitness through mobile devices. Under Armour is teaming up with HTC to bring a new fitness app, UA app, which connects users to their health and fitness network.

UA Record will combine other programs and apps such as FitBit and Map My Run into a single network where users can interact and upload their fitness data.

“You can create micro challenges to compete with your friends, engage with one another to meet your goals and share your goals,” said Under Armour Senior Manager Sara Hester.

“In addition to data tracking, there’s content and information and you can building a community with other friends, friends in the network to share and inspire one another,” Hester said.

The app allows users to log in to upload their daily workout regimen, and will provide easy-to-read weekly and month progress data. The pairing with HTC helps Under Armour dive into the mobile device market.
