New Hero Cat Saves Baby in Russia's Winter

The world has a new hero cat. Her name is Masha. She saved an abandoned baby from freezing to death.

Here is another hero cat story that is taking the internet by storm. You might remember the awesome hero cat that scared away a dog that attacked a boy in a driveway. Now another cat saved an abandoned baby from freezing to death in Russia's hard winter. In the city of Obninsk a 12-weeks old baby was abandoned in a cardboard box that was standing in stairway in an apartment block.

Luckily for the baby boy the box was the sleeping place of stray cat Masha. The cat was snuggling next to the baby keeping it warm for several hours. The cat even reportedly meowed to call for help. The baby boy was brought to the hospital and he is fine. Police tries to find out now who the parents are.

Masha the cat is now the talk of the town (and internet). She gets now extra treats. She was living in the apartment block the last three years. Russia Today's Ruptly has a video report about the new hero cat. Watch below.

I am a cat person and I totally love these hero cat stories. Usually only dogs are associated with the skills to save people. Cats can be nice enough sometimes to help. Not always. Cats are picky who they save.
