A film by the title of Special Correspondents is to be released by Netflix. It will have Ricky Gervais as the scriptwriter and director.

It is a unique comedy film that will have Eric Bana as its leading man. Special Correspondents is a movie that is magical in its nature. It will entertain crowds upon crowds of rabid fans to no end. Penned and handled by Ricky Gervais, it is to launch some time next year. And Netflix has bought the rights to the movie beforehand.

“Special Correspondents is classic Ricky Gervais; smart social satire with heart,” said Netflix Chief Content Officer Ted Sarandos. “It’s the kind of great grown-up comedy that studios rarely make anymore, one that’s perfect for Netflix members around the world.”

Gervais is known for the hilarious The Office comedy series. In Special Correspondents, Eric Bana is portrayed as a radio journalist who is down and out. NYC is his provenance. However, his lifestyle is one of aggressive overkill and spoilt rotten manners not to mention an appetite for cheap sex which have taken a toll on his overall existence.

What Bana does is fake his accounts from his hole-in-the-ground room. This is the height of irresponsibility. Special Correspondents is in the genre Ricky Gervais is famous for. It is naughty but nice and pokes the obese system in the belly with a crooked finger. The comedy is for adults though.

Gervais said’ “Having shaken up the TV industry, Netflix is about to do the same to Hollywood. It’s great to be part of the changing future. Ted Sarandos is the new Godfather of entertainment and he made me an offer I couldn’t refuse.”

Netflix was known for its services for television but now it is entering Tinsel Town territory. Ricky Gervais has already grabbed so many prizes and awards. With this project he may take over Hollywood too.
