The app will alert you so you can stay safe from any contagious sickness

Wouldn’t it be just too great if we could learn about our health even before the much unwanted visible signs start to appear? Well of course wants to be one step ahead and particularly in this regard. The good news is that this is now pretty much possible and all you require is your Apple Watch. Baltimore-based Sickweather has prepared its illness-alert app for the Apple Watch.

So you’re all wondering how you will be alerted to this? Well, the app gives you a real time map of all the people around you who happen to be sick in that area along with a “threat index” of contagious illness close by.

So this is how the app works – it makes use of an algorithm which can scan social media posts which indicate that people are feeling sick. The app is pretty smart and ignores false sickness news, hence giving accurate information to the users. The app’s website also claims that users can also self-report their symptoms to the app. Users will also get alerts from the app when they happen to be in an area where there are sick people around.

The latest version of the app for the Apple Watch also gives a “SickScore” for a particular area. A high score would mean a high probability of getting sick and users can then turn on timers which will remind them to wash their hands frequently.
