A reboot version of The Muppets, that famous show depicting such all-time favorite characters as Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy, is to arrive soon on television. Fans of the good old series are waiting around to see what is in store this time around.

Lights! Camera! Action! The Muppets is to return to prime time television. And it will evoke many memories among the members of Generation X who were just kids when the series came on the idiot box for the first time.

This time around though it will entertain on a more serious note. The lives of the muppets both on screen and off screen will be shown. The hopes, desires and idiosyncrasies related to each one will also be explored for all these emotions are worth.

The show is more adult-oriented and not just childish stuff. And it will air on ABC alongside many other programs which have their own individual appeal and attraction. ABC has also released first photo (via EW) of 'The Muppets' reboot.

This particular version of the muppets is a mockumentary of sorts. Let’s not forget that The Muppet Show spanned most of the 70s and aired again in the mid 90s for a brief interlude.

While the main message has been and always will be for children, the adults will thoroughly enjoy the series too since it has more in store than just high jinx and empty laughs.

As those in the rank of Gen-X take a trip down memory lane, they will be reminded of their childhood days when things were simpler and everyday life was not as complicated as it is today.
