The rock group, Mumford & Sons had its album which it churned out recently reach the #1 spot on the Billboard 200 Chart twice in a row.

Wilder Mind, a wonderful album full of surprises, by the band Mumford & Sons is way up there at the #1 slot on the Billboard 200 Chart. This is the second time one of their albums has reached the peak point in the comparison critique of musical genius. Over 249,000 extra album units were achieved by the album. That is quite an accomplishment according to the Nielsen Music Ratings Scale.

Polymetric consumer behavior was kept in mind by the experts behind the charts, when they lend you a peek into how each album and song ranks from one to 200. The methods preferred include normal sales ratios, track equity on albums and streaming equity to boot. Wilder Mind sold 231,000 units in the beginning. This reminds one of Mumford & Sons’s album Babel which came out some three odd years ago and ranked at the top of the charts too.

Babel sold some 600,000 odd copies which was a rare phenomenon indeed. In fact, it almost set a record for the span of a whole decade. It remained for a month and seven days at #1. Until now, Babel has sold some 2.7 million odd units worldwide. Their Sigh No More album which arrived five years ago clocked in at #2 barely missing the top spot.

There is a reason Wilder Mind is way up there in the sky. It took a lot of creative genius to come up with in the first place. At the second and third slots in matters of sales are Drake’s “If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late” and Kendrick Lamar’s “To Pimp a Butterfly” respectively. The song on Wilder Mind, titled “Believe” is the best alternative adult song to come out in recent times. Meanwhile, Josh Groban’s Stages is at the #2 spot in albums on the Billboard 200 Charts. Now 54 hits the sweet spot at #3 and the rap artist known as Tech N9ne stands at #4.

The best album of the previous week, Zac Brown Band’s Jekyll + Hyde is down to the fifth spot on the charts. And finally the OST of Fifty Shades of Grey is at #6 while the Furious 7 OST teeters on #7. Sam Smith’s In the Lonely Hour is holding on at #8 and Taylor Swift’s 1989 and Ed Sheeran’s “x” have their rightful places at the #9 and #10 slots.
