Melissa Rivers describes Kathy Griffin’s departure from the Fashion Police as S***ing on her mother’s legacy!

Melissa Rivers the daughter of the late Fashion Police host Joan Rivers recently sat down for an interview at the 92nd Street Y with Hoda Kotb. In the interview Melissa Rivers shared how Kathy Griffins was not the right choice to take over her mother’s place and wasn’t a match as a host on many levels.

Melissa further declared she felt as though Griffith s*** all over her mother’s legacy when she quit the Fashion Police and that is her biggest complaint. Melissa even stated although it may not have been Griffith’s intention to s*** all over her mother’s legacy but it's how Melissa feels.

Kathy Griffith and Kelly Osborne left the show Fashion Police amid racial allegations and the show went on a hiatus until September. Griffith only hosted seven episodes before quitting after Rancic made a comment on Zendaya's patchouli oil smelling dreadlocks.

Griffith for her part at the time stated she did not want to contribute her comedy towards intolerance and unattainable perfectionism, but according to Melissa, Griffith had been trying to cover her own butt and in the process dumped on her late mother’s legacy with the statement.

Melissa further stated she understands what Griffith had been trying to do but it did not mean she had to dump over her mother in order to clear herself. Melissa then called Fashion Police as a jewel which was the last piece of her mother and herself working together. But when controversy broke everyone was acting out of control even the one who made the accusations of racism ( referencing to Zendaya).

Melissa described how everyone took the last thing she had of her mothers and smashed it while she felt like Humpty Dumpty trying find the pieces and to glue it all together.
