Janet Jackson surprised fans with a personal announcement of a new album and tour coming this year.

Janet Jackson made a big announcement today. She shared a video on Twitter personally announcing with a sultry voice a new album and a new tour for 2015. She talks about that she has been listening and to keep the conversation going. The hashtag she used in the Tweet was #ConversationsInACafe. She also talks about a new movement. At this point the announcement is very cryptic.

Janet Jackson celebrated her 49th birthday today and the announcement is kind of a birthday present. She has been said to work on a new album since 2013. Now fans can expect finally the new album to drop later this year.

Janet Jackson did not release a studio album since 2008. Her last album is titled Discipline. Seven years is a long time to let fans waiting. Her last tour was in 2011. She is married to Wissam Al Mana since 2012 and lived a rather quite life over the past years. 2015 seems to become a new milestone in Janet Jackson's career.

Her brother Michael Jackson died in 2009 that sure has contributed to her removal from the public and from performing.
