  • Coldplay features in the Game of Thrones musical for the Red Nose Day

Peter Dinklage is heading to the Red Nose Day to feature in a sketch about Game of Thrones in which they will be singing about Tyrion Lannister’s survival till season 5.

As the Red Nose Day draws nearer, more stars prepare to perform at the charity event in various sketches. That also include Coldplay who would be doing a sketch on the hit HBO drama Game of Thrones. The performance will also be featuring the show’s very own, Peter Dinklage.

Peter Dinklage who plays Tyrion Lannister, the illegitimate son of the King Lannister is the longest surviving male character who despite odds and perils is still on the show’s current running season which is season 5.

Not only is his character strong but the fans favor the dwarfish actor for being the most challenged and brave character whereas other younger characters like his nephew Jeoffery have died or have been cut off.

Peter Dinklage will be joining the British band on May 21 but a preview of what was to come was released on You Tube earlier and it was hilarious. If one thought Peter Dinklage couldn’t get any cooler, he just did.

Featuring in the video is the 45 old dwarf singing the song “I’m still going strong.” The lyrics were specially designed for the song which included lyrics about Ned Stark; “a lot of fun, but didn’t make it past season one” to Robert Baratheon; “part of that crew, but never made it to season two”.

“Baby you know I’m the man for all seasons/ Characters get cut for various reasons/ Some people’s parts just ain’t very long/ But not me, I’m still going strong!” the lyrics continue, as Dinklage crooned the jazzy tune in his smooth baritone vocals backed by some female singers and musicians. For full performance, one would have to look out for the event.

The Red Nose Day will also be featuring Anna Kendrick as Indianna Jones putting her own spin on the series part, The Last Crusade. Ed Sheeran has also been dropping hints about doing something Kermit.

Other stars supporting the event are Will Ferrell, Gwyneth Paltrow, Emily Blunt, John Krasinski, Jack Black, Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, Pharrell Williams, Christina Aguilera, Jennifer Aniston, Rose Byrne, Nick Cannon, Simon Cowell, Benedict Cumberbatch, Zac Efron and Jimmy Fallon.

Also on board are Jennifer Garner, Richard Gere, Neil Patrick Harris, Matt LeBlanc, Dame Helen Mirren, Julianne Moore, Elisabeth Moss, Liam Neeson, One Direction, Robert Pattinson, Eddie Redmayne, Julia Roberts, Paul Rudd, Nicole Scherzinger, Keith Urban and Reese Witherspoon.
