Bowser is known for his fierce work ethic and he will play a key role in driving national sales strategies to generate demand. He will achieve this year’s revenue objectives across all Nintendo’s product lines and will also manage Nintendo’s key retail customer relationships.

Doug Bowser will head retail marketing for Nintendo World store in New York City. Doug Bowser will be reporting to Scott Moffitt who is the Executive VP of Sales & Marketing. He said that the Doug was an outstanding addition to their Nintendo team.

Scott said that Bowser has brought a blend of customer package goods and video games sales experience to their company. Scott believes that Doug will work tirelessly with their internal and external partners so that the company could ensure they have a broad product lineup of hardware, software and accessories.

Doug Bowser previously worked in Electronic Arts as he’s been their employee since 2007. His last role at Electronic Arts was that he was their Vice President of Global Business Planning. That role made him responsible for EA’s console, PC and mobile game forecasting.

He has also worked at Procter & Gamble before working at Electronic Arts. He had various sales leadership roles in Asia, Latin America and in United States. Bowser was quickly accepted into the Nintendo family.

The main reason for his quick acceptance was that Nintendo had previously made a game in which a popular character was named Bowser. The character was called King of the Koopa and he will hear jokes about that at his new company. Some are even joking that Bowser is only there at the company to seize the Nintendo Mushroom Kingdom.
