His birth in 1925 in a family of farmers was an event that couldn’t have been taken as an indicator of his later success and genius-like caliber of vision as a musician. King was brought up by his granny after his mother and father got divorced.

As a teenager, King spent time operating a tractor on the fields and then began playing gospel songs in the community church. Later on his gigs went on to win him fame in clubs and the radio. Pretty soon B.B.King became a household word.

He had his residence in Las Vegas and died there a few days ago at the age of 89. Most of his life, King spent his time travelling on the road and entertaining various crowds of R&B enthusiasts. He will be remembered as a legend among legends and the man who really brought sweet dulcet notes to the ears of many a troubled soul who was soothed by his music.
