  • David Letterman’s Last Late Night Show Attracts an Audience of Millions of Fans

The one and only David Letterman’s last late night show on air attracted an audience of millions of fans. He sure has many people who love him more than anybody else.

Not only many comedians, but millions of diehard fans of David Letterman tuned in to see him in the last on-air show he was the host of before his retirement.

It was indeed a fanfare of a farewell. With 13.76 million viewers according to Nielsen, this is the biggest case of eyes-glued-to-the-television-screen since hid heyday in the mid 90s. Letterman has been holding this job since the last three decades or so.

Letterman’s show entertained its audience for 60 minutes flat. During the course of this hour there were many memorable moments. Only Jay Leno has had more of an audience turnout in his farewell show.

Among the comedians may be included Jerry Seinfeld and Tina Fey not to mention Barbara Walters. They all thanked “Dave” from the bottom of their hearts at the end of the show.

Only David Letterman’s 1994 show which aired right after the Winter Olympics had garnered almost the same amount of people as viewers. David Letterman is one lucky man for being adored by so many people who would die to just get a glimpse of him.
