Revoke Caitlyn Jenner's Olympic Medals Demands Petition
Vanity Fair
  • Petition in motion for Caitlyn Jenner to give back the Olympic Gold

Petition has been initiated on for Caitlyn Jenner to give back the Olympic Gold medals she won as Bruce Jenner saying she violated the International Olympic Committee (IOC).

Vanity Fair proudly presented Caitlyn Jenner in a photoshoot and an interview to the world. The Kardashian and the Jenner family are supporting her and even President Obama is supporting her. Whilst the world decides whether they like or dislike the new Ms. Jenner, Bruce Jenner seems to be a tale of the past.

However, Bruce’s achievements are being brought into question. A petition has been launched on the website in which petitioners are asking Ms. Jenner to return the Olympic Gold Medals she won as Bruce Jenner.

The petition is a letter like document in which the petitioners are congratulating Ms. Jenner to embrace her reality and turn into a woman. She has made statements in public that she has always felt like a woman and has acted upon her feelings only now.

If that is the case and she was always a woman, then she lied about being a man and competing in the men’s category of the Olympic Decathlon in which she won Gold medals as Bruce Jenner. The petitioners say that the she competed in the wrong category and any medal won like that should be returned to the IOC.

The petitioners urged Ms. Caitlyn Jenner to support the transgender community and return the medals to IOC. The petition ends with congratulating Ms. Jenner once more for her courage. He petition has been launched with #givebackthegold.

Many are skeptical about the petition, calling it close minded, ignorant and transphobic. People are questioning how the petition will be supporting the transgender community and how it is not degrading to Caitlyn.

Many are speculating that the #givebackthegold is initiated by the same group that was responsible for #cut4Zayn.
