Foo Fighters frontman fall off the stage and apparantely broke his right leg but continued with the show

Foo Fighters lead vocal and guitarist Dave Grohl injured his leg after falling off the stage during a concert in Gothenburg, Sweden.

The incident took place halfway through into the second song of the concert. Watch the video of Grohl's gruesome fall.

I think I just broke my leg,” Grohl told crowd, lying on his back in front of the stage. “I’m going to go to hospital. I’m going to fix my leg. And then I’m going to come back.” He promised the crowd that Foo Fighters will come back and finish the show.”

Foo Fighters reportedly continued with the concert and played cover versions while their lead vocal was taking medical treatment.

Later, Dave Grohl was carried back onto the stage on a stretcher and resumed singing and playing guitar while sitting on a chair with his right foot bandaged up. He told the crowd that he would not leave the stage unless doctor gives him an order to do so.

Later, Foo Fighters posted an X-ray image of the 46-year old singer on their official Twitter account which appears to be a clear fracture in the leg.

Nevertheless, the show, which was held in Ullevi stadium and attended by a crowd of thousands of people, was completed successfully. The rock band has a very busy schedule ahead and the injury to a key member may have an effect on their Sonic Highways World Tour which is underway right now. The world tour started on December last year in Cape Town and expected to end on November 19 in Spain.

Foo Fighters’ next show is scheduled in Landgraaf, Netherlands on Sunday, followed by a long continues series of concerts due in Switzerland, United Kingdom, Canada, Japan, Belgium, South Korea, Germany, Italy, France, Spain and USA. According to Entertainment Weekly, no rescheduling has been announced yet.
