A whole generation of gamers has likely outgrown video gaming waiting the sequel to Ico and Shadow of the Colossus. Sony released the first gameplay trailer of The Last Guardian at the E3 2015.

Sony decided to kick off the Sony Press Conference at E3 2015 with a video game that has been a myth for almost a decade. The sequel to Ico and Shadow of the Colossus was first announced in 2007 for the PS3. After years of rumors and no shows Sony has released the first gameplay demo of The Last Guardian directed by video game legend Fumito Ueda.

Sony has lost many potential costumers for the The Last Guardian by waiting 11 years to release it. In that time gamers have grown up and became parents, which usually leads to having no time to play video games.

The few that still waited for The Last Guardian have now to even wait another year as Sony only said that The Guardian will be released in 2016. In the gameplay trailer of The Guardian a young buy has to explore an old scary ruin with his kind giant dog bird animal. The visuals are stunning. Playing The Guardian with a VR headset will give gamers a nice doses of Acrophobia.

Sony has announced several other games at the E3 2015 with The Guardian getting the most attention, but does the game deserve it after that long time. It is not like it is very different from the original Ico. What took so long?

Other games Sony featured in the E3 media event include Unravel, Uncharted 4, Dreams, Hitman, Horizon Zero Dawn, Destiny: The Taken King, Call of Duty: Black Ops III, Star Wars Battlefront, Assassin’s Creed Syndicate: The Dreadful Crimes and FINAL FANTASY VII Remake.
