The funny girl made a comment today on Good Morning America that some are saying was in poor taste.

Mindy Kaling is one of those comediennes that you either love or you hate her sense of humor. Sometimes she's a little grating, and she pushes the boundaries as well. Currently, she is making the talk show rounds to talk about her latest movie, Pixar's Inside Out, her book with on-again off-again boyfriend BJ Novak, and the move of her television show The Mindy Project to Hulu. So that would seem like she should be on her best behavior, right? Well, as it turns out, there are a few things that people are mad at her for.

While she was on GMA she made a joke about child sexual abuse, which has some people at Jezebel pretty outraged:

In response to a mundane Stephanopoulos comment that the new Pixar flick made audiences feel like they were “inside this 11-year-old girl,” Kaling added, with a sprinkling of disgust, “in a profoundly wholesome way,” which brought a joke about child abuse into a segment that aired before most people had their morning coffee. It didn’t go over well.

Some people are claiming that George Stephanopoulus should be the one in hot water because he set her up for the joke, but as Mindy does this for a career, she should have thought of another punchline - or none at all.

Mindy also made some pretty gross comments regarding the application of Photoshop to some of her photos. Even though she talks about "not being like other girls," and that she is bullied for it, she comes across as someone who wants to be. When she was on The View this week, she told Whoopi & Co: “When I was on the cover of this magazine, I think people were excited because I don’t look like a lot of women who tend to be on the covers of magazines…A lot of times when you’re not super skinny and you’re on a cover of magazines and stuff like that, the idea is like, ‘Oh, we’ll just let her be…we’re gonna get credit for letting her be really natural and real.’ But I’m like everyone else, whereas I’m like, ‘You can Photoshop me as much as you want!’”

What's your stance, do you like Mindy Kaling or do you think she is trying to be over the top so that we keep talking about her?
