Kim Kardashian and her husband Kanye West only had fertilized male embryos implanted to make sure they had a boy!

It appears Kim Kardashian and Kanye West decided the sex of their baby no.2 themselves. According to reports Kim along with Kanye underwent a gender selection process when they opted for IVF.

The procedure took place this spring and the pair determined their second baby will be a boy. Kim Kardashian announced she will be having a baby boy on the 21st of June but it seems she already knew she would only have a boy.

The now pregnant reality star Kim Kardashian only had male embryos implanted in her through IVF. The procedure can cost up to $17000 because doctors have to isolate fertilized embryos in a lab. The procedure separates fertilized eggs according to gender and the eggs are then implanted in a uterus artificially.

According to another US Weekly source close to the West family, Kanye loves his 2 years old daughter North more than anything but he still wanted a boy. Kanye believes a baby boy will complete their family and also provide him with an heir. Kanye and Kim were very excited when they realized they were going to have a boy and their world is going to be perfect now.

As for Kim she always wanted only 2 kids, a girl and a boy and since her wish has been answered she is elated. However the road to a baby boy was not easy for Kim who is currently in her second trimester, as her struggles with fertility were featured on her reality show ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’. Kim previously suffered IVF failures but announced she is pregnant on an episode of KUWTK to her sister Khloe Kardashian.
