The Ohio State University Marching Band will perform during a pregame show prior to the Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Buffalo Bills game on Oct. 25.

According to Gary Lewis of the university's official website, the Jaguars vs. Bills showdown is the second of three games the NFL will stage in London for the 2015 NFL season.

The band regularly performs during games of Ohio's two NFL teams -- the Cleveland Browns and Cincinnati Bengals. It also received invitations to perform at international sporting events before, but this will be the first time it gets to travel overseas for a performance before a large, international audience, per Lewis.

The band features an all-brass and percussion ensemble composed of 225 members, making it one of the biggest of its type on a global scale, per OSU.edu.

With this, Ohio State University Marching Band interim director Christopher Hoch told OSU.edu the NFL has requested the group to put together a London-themed performance:

"We're fortunate to have an international reputation thanks to shows that have gone viral on video or received widespread media attention. It will be real thrill to have a chance to perform for the people of London.

"The NFL has requested a London-themed show, but left the creative elements up to us. We are planning a very special and exciting performance.

"We couldn't be the world-class band that we've become without the tremendous dedication of our student musicians. They work incredibly hard preparing and performing each season, and I'm really pleased that they are being rewarded with this once-in-a-lifetime experience."

For his part, NFL UK managing director Alistair Kirkwood told Lewis the league is very excited to feature the band for its NFL International Series:

"We are very excited to be bringing the Ohio State University to Wembley and can't wait to see what they have in store for our fans.

"This will be very different to anything we have done at the International Series games before and we know that the band is planning something spectacular to celebrate and commemorate being in the UK."

A July 2 update on NFLUK.com says this will mark the first time a traditional American marching band will perform during the pregame show of an NFL International Series game.

In another development, the Rockland Boulders of the Can-Am League offered a rookie contract to New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham, Jr. on July 2 after they witnessed him showing perfect pitching form during a celebrity softball game last week, per the team's official website.

Should Beckham sign, the will report to the Boulders' spring training in May 2016.

Boulders general manager Shawn Reilly told RocklandBoulders.com on Thursday his team is giving Beckham the opportunity to be a two-sport star like Deion Sanders and Bo Jackson:

"It's apparent that Odell is a very gifted athlete regardless of his sport. We think that getting experience pitching to professional hitters will give him the opportunity to follow in the footsteps of Deion Sanders and Bo Jackson.

"As we are the New York area's only defending professional championship team, he will have the opportunity to learn in a first-class environment while still in close proximity to MetLife Stadium."

Boulders pitching coach and former MLB pitcher Bobby Jones told the team's official website he is confident Beckham has what it takes to excel on the baseball field:

"We were very impressed with Odell's mechanics in the video. He's shown his ability to catch a ball on the gridiron and after seeing his prowess on the mound, I am optimistic that he has the tools to develop into a quality pitcher."

Beckham took the NFL by storm during his rookie year in 2014. The 22-year-old wide receiver caught for 1,305 yards and 12 touchdowns on 91 receptions in 12 games, per ESPN stats.

His increasing popularity resulted in him being the cover athlete for EA Sports' NFL Madden 16.
