Google Cardboard Not Available Now at OnePlus
  • Google Cardboard Not Available for the Time Being at OnePlus

Google Cardboard is not available for the time being at OnePlus. This is bad news for those who were waiting until the very last minute to buy the headset.

Many surmised that they could procrastinate matters to the eleventh hour before purchasing a Google Cardboard Virtual Reality headset from OnePlus. But it is no go. The maker of this contraption is now about to launch its next version.

July 27th is the date set for the debut. Up until now Google was sending out the last samples of the defunct and outdated headset for free (except for $5 as excess shipment charges). But that brief window of opportunity is gone with the wind.

The giant company has run dry as far as any more VR headsets are concerned. Shipping will hopefully restart on July 10th. So until then it is a case of “what you can’t cure, you must endure”.

Since Google was losing a lot of cash due to its free shipments from OnePlus, it now wants to gain some extra “dosh” from its orders for the OnePlus 2. By the way, the One Plus 2 may consist of two different versions.

One of these types will probably have 3GB of RAM while the other kind may have 4GB of the same. The screen sizes could range from 5.5 inches to 5.7 inches which is not bad at all. And the devices are to be energized by Snapdragon 810 SoC.

Furthermore, an octacore CPU and Adreno 430 GPU will lie somewhere within the structure of the gizmos. Maybe the search engine giant will stock more Cardboard VR headsets but for now the curious and passionate geeks will have to do without the “freebies”. Besides, Google likes to keep its consumers guessing!
