Well the first day was really amazing, let us hope all the other days are as great as the first one as well.

Teen Wolf

Well first of all we have had MTV surprise everyone with great news for all the Teen Wolf fans. Just like always the network once again announced a series renewal at Comic Con and this time it is going to be the supernatural drama Teen Wolf which will be returning for a sixth season. The drama is said to return for a 20 episode season so a lot of fun for Teen Wolf fans. However this season will be the first without series star Tyler Hoechlin, according to THR.

Bill Murray

Another surprise at this year’s Comic Con was the appearance of actor Bill Murray who made his first ever Comic Con appearance on Thursday. He was dressed as his ‘Rock the Kasbah’ character Richie Lantz and spoke about everything from his famous co-stars to Barry Levinson’s new movie. According to Variety, Bradley Cooper also made an appearance in Ballroom 20 but through video from his iPhone in London, during the ‘Limitless’ panel to introduce his new CBS series.

Well there was quite a lot to take in especially Wonder Woman’s whole new getup. Zack Snyder the director released an image of the new Wonder Woman, Gal Gadot, in her warrior costume last Comic-Con but this time around the fans were lucky enough to see her ensemble up close. Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2 Trailer & Jennifer Lawrence

Another huge treat for the fans was the first trailer of the Mockingjay- Part 2 as Jennifer Lawrence herself led The Hunger Games stars in their final Comic-Con bow. The trailer which hasn’t been posted online yet shows that the Capitol of Panem is burning as Katniss brings war to the city.

Doctor Who Trailer with Game of Thrones Maisie Williams

Then in Hall H at the Comic Con of the first day there was Doctor Peter Capaldi along with co-star Jenna Coleman and Michelle Gomez who will be playing the major villain in the new series. These three then teased the Doctor Who fans with new footage from the upcoming season of the show which will be its ninth, according to The Guardian.

The trailer showed images of new aliens, new planets and the Doctor playing the guitar but the end of the trailer was quite interesting with a shot of Game of Thrones actor Maisie Williams as one of the show’s new human-looking characters. This was Capaldi’s first ever appearance at the Comic Con and his theatre training helped him a lot. He stated that he has never been in front of 7000 people before in his life.

Halle Berry

Up next we had Halle Berry who hasn’t forgotten about her iconic character even now. It has been 15 years since Halle Berry, 48, played Storm in the first X-Men film. She talked about her character at a great length with the fans on Thursday. She even revealed that she would love to do her role once again in the superhero franchise, reported Daily Mail. The actress stated that if she gets the role before she is 65 years old she would absolutely do it. The Oscar winning actress stated that she would love to be Storm again and will do a Storm movie in a heartbeat. She was at Comic Con in order to promote her sci-fi series Extant.

Conan O’Brien

Well apart from these movie stars we also have Conan O’Brien at the Comic Con who has brought his late night TBS talk show to the event. Once again this year’s Comic Con has experienced something for the first time and this time it is a late night show. It’s the first time that a late night show has been recorded during the festivities at Comic Con. Well the first day of the event saw Conan and his comic sidekick Andy Richter made a fantastic opening. It was a tribute to Mad Max: Fury Road with Conan as the Doof Warrior while Richter as Immortan Joe. Well Conan’s Comic Con episodes are being taped at San Diego’s Spreckels Theatre. There will be plenty more from Conan as the Comic Con has three more days.

Sherlock Teaser Trailer

We also had the panel for Sherlock at the first day but it was rather sparse this year. Benedict Cumberbatch was absent, as were Martin Freeman (Watson), Mark Gatiss (Mycroft) and Andrew Scott and the only people that were present were producer Sue Vertue, Rupert Graves and the show runner Steven Moffat. Steven Moffat was also taking part in the Doctor Who panel, according to Telegraph. So in order to show the fans that they were important for the show and that they weren’t forgotten the missing personalities sent an amusing apology video.

Star Wars 57-year-old Fan Walks over 600 Miles Dressed like a Stormtrooper at Comic-Con

Well another interesting person to make his mark at the Comic Con this year was Kevin Doyle. Thousands attended the event in various costumes but not one of those had a story that was even near to Kevin Doyle’s. Doyle who is 57 has basically lost his Star Wars loving wife Eileen to pancreatic cancer on November 7, 2012. The two were married only for a year but he stated that he will never be able to forget her or her talent for drawing Star Wars comic art.

So Doyle has spent the last month walking his long journey and raising money for cancer research along the way, reported Daily Mail. He has been successful in raising cash for Eileen Little Angels which takes upon the responsibility of providing gifts for children with cancer undergoing chemotherapy. Up till now Doyle has been able to raise over $4000 in memory of the special woman he just lost. He explained that she knew she was going to die and just before she died he told her that he won’t let her memory die.
