First Look at Ghostbusters Female Cast in Action

Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Leslie Jones and Kate McKinnon are starring in Ghostbusters reboot

We have glimpses at the uniform of Ghostbusters squad hanging on a rack, the car which will be driven by them and the proton pack which will be used by them for capturing ghosts. Now another teaser has just been released by Ghostbusters’ director.

Director Paul Feig is making you have a first look at Ghostbusters all-female squad in action where Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones are seen wearing famous jumpsuits with Proton packs on their backs and standing in front of the Ghostbusters’ vehicle.

“Ghostbusters”, which is scheduled for a July 22, 2016 release, is a reboot of 1984 film of the same name, starring Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis and Ernie Hudson. In the reboot, all the principal male cast is being replaced by the females. The third installment of the franchise also includes Chris Hemsworth, playing the role of Ghostbusters’ receptionist.

Recently, few more names have been added to the reboot. Ocean’s Eleven star Andy Garcia, Michael K. Williams, Matt Walsh and Cecily Strong are joining the cast of “Ghostbusters” reboot. Neil Casey is the villain of the film while NY1 anchor Pat Kiernan is going to play the role of a news anchor.

Paul Feig is the main man behind the project. He is working in both writer’s and director’s capacity. “Bridesmaids” and “Spy” director wanted to make a Ghostbusters with a new dimension and using new technology.

“I love origin stories. That’s my favorite thing. I love the first one so much I don’t want to do anything to ruin the memory of that. So it just felt like, let’s just restart it because then we can have new dynamics. I want the technology to be even cooler. I want it to be really scary and I want it to happen in our world.” Feig said last year.

Filming is underway in Boston since June.
