A new report claims that Apple is getting traction in negotiations with the major four TV networks for the new Apple TV launching late Fall.

There is new hope that a new Apple TV is coming this fall. Before the WWDC reports appeared that Apple is not able to get deals done with major TV networks to release a new Apple TV. The next generation Apple TV is supposed to deliver a new way to watch TV that competes directly with cable boxes. Besides the Apple TV there will be Apple TV apps for all Apple devices.

The New York Post reports that Apple is now getting closer to deals with ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox for the new Apple TV platform. The source fo the NYP says "The platform is ready and it rocks."

Apple wants to be able to stream local TV channels on their devices, not just on the Apple TV. The problem is that the networks did not have the rights for that from the affiliate stations. Now this is reportedly changing and Apple gets closer to what they want.

Apple's TV Streaming service will be competing with the Sling TV service, which might be a good indicator for the price. Customers will have to at least pay $20/month to use the Apple TV service.
