Microsoft just released a commercial highlighting 10 reasons to upgrade to Windows 10. Main point: It is Familiar.

Windows 10 is getting close. The new Windows release will be available starting July 29 and it is a free upgrade, making this already a very desirable update. Microsoft released on Sunday a 46 second long commercial highlighting 10 reasons to Upgrade to Windows 10.

Microsoft says: "Discover why Windows 10 is the best combination of the Windows you already know, plus lots of great improvements you’ll love having. And all of your stuff comes with you, so you’ll be ready to do great things from the get-go."

Microsoft drives home the point that Windows 10 is familiar. It takes the best things form Windows 7 and Windows 8 and adds new things. Microsoft wants to make sure that existing Windows users do not feel intimidated by the new Windows release.

Users often don't want to update because they have to learn new things. Microsoft tries to take away that fear with this new commercial. The final reason Microsoft features in the video why to upgrade to Windows 10 is that it is free.

Windows 10 is the most important Windows release in a very long time for Microsoft. If all pans out as planed, Microsoft could become bigger than ever. The Windows 10 promise is to delivery a unified user experience across all devices. If successful, Microsoft will be ahead of Apple, who still runs two Operating systems with OS X and iOS.

Geek Bonus question: Did you spot all vacation photos of Joe Belfiore in the video?
