Chinese police arrested five people in connection with the viral Uniqlo sex tape including the couple having sex in the video.

A smartphone video showing a couple having sex in a dressing room at a Chinese Uniqlo store has gone viral around the world.

The video is only a minute long but spread like wild fire online. Now the store branch of Uniqlo in Sanlitum has now become a tourist attraction. Some speculate that Uniqlo is behind the video. Chinese authorities have condemned the video and had Weibo and WeChat take down the video.

The BBC reports that the couple having sex in the Uniqlo dressing room has been arrested along with three more people. Details about the arrest are sparse. The act of publishing the video alone is though a criminal offense in China.

Uniqlo is a Japanese brand that is wholly owned subsidiary of Fast Retailing Co., Ltd.

Uniqlo Japan had 852 stores at the end of August 2014. Since the first store opened outside Japan in 2001, UNIQLO International has expanded to 633 stores, including 374 in Greater China (Mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan), 133 in South Korea, and 80 in Southeast Asia and Oceania.

We have enjoyed rapid expansion in Asia and are developing a full-fledged store network in the United States.
