GoPro will launch soon a mobile app to edit and publish GoPro videos on the go.

GoPro is working on an app to edit GoPro videos on mobile devices said GoPro President Tony Bates according to TechCrunch.

Editing video is still surprisingly time consuming as most video editing software is complicated.

GoPro's video editing app could change that. The GoPro video editing app is coming end of Summer.

The company is also working on a cloud-based video solution, but the service will initially only allow viewing of videos. Ideally GoPro would offer a smart solution that generates highlight videos from GoPro users automatically.

GoPro just released the new tiny GoPro Hero4 Session.

The company founded by Nick Woodman manages to stay on top of the action camera segment despite the onslaught of competitors including large consumer electronics companies including Samsung and Sony.

GoPro announced on Tuesday Q2 earnings result that beat analyst's expectations. Revenues for the past quarter reached $419.9 million which is a 71% increase over the quarter last year.

"I couldn't be more proud of our aggressive pace of innovation. With the introduction of HERO4 Session and HERO+ LCD, we've launched five new cameras in the past 10 months, exciting both new and existing customers and contributing to strong second quarter results," said GoPro Founder and CEO, Nicholas Woodman. "Our core business is enjoying terrific momentum as we charge forward into attractive adjacent markets."
