Apple Back To School Sale launches in Apple Stores

Apple has launched its annual Back to School sale today in stores. The online Back to School sale begins August 6.

Apple has launched its annual Back to School sale. The offer will be available in Apple Retail Stores starting today, July 23, 2015 and will be available from the Apple Online Store starting on August 6, 2015 through September 18, 2015.

This year the deal is a free Beats Solo2 On-Ear Headphones (valued at $199.95) when buying an eligible Mac.

Eligible products include the new Macbook, Macbook Air, Macbook Pro, Mac Pro and iMac. The only Mac not qualifying is the Mac mini.

Customers can upgrade to a pair of Beats Solo2 Wireless Headphones for $100.

Apple is not offering any additional deal on other Apple products like iPad, iPhone or Apple Watch.

In past years Apple offered a gift card on top of the educational pricing for its computers. The educational discount saves up to $200 on a new Mac.

This Back to School promotion is not for everyone. Customers could flip the Beats headphones on eBay dogging a small loss.

Apple's computer business is still thriving and as a new wave of students needs computers, the trend will not take a hit the next months. Apple sold 4.7 million Macs last quarter.
