Honda Accord 2016 Features Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
  • Upgraded 2016 Accord features one of the first applications of both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto

The all-new 2016 Honda Accord will be the first Honda model and among the first high-volume cars in the marketplace to feature Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Honda gas introduced its latest 2016 Accord in the Silicon Valley on Thursday.

It is first Honda model that has both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The upgraded technology makes this a hot set of wheels that will take you from here to there and back.

The 2016 Accord Sedan features dynamic new styling, a new Display Audio touchscreen interface, and Honda Sensing. As for its safety features, they deliver extra care and comfort in a mid-sized four seater.

Among some of the other amenities may be included: HD Radio, thermal back seats and dual parking sensors. Many more little odds and ends of equipment that this baby possesses will be unveiled a few weeks from now.

Silicon Valley is the ideal venue for the introduction of this medium sedan. Most consumers who live in today’s fast-paced and complicated society want their high tech roadsters in synch with their social habits as seen in the mobile technology they employ.

"Where else to introduce the most technologically advanced midsize sedan, the 2016 Accord, than in Silicon Valley," said John Mendel, executive vice president of the Automobile Division, American Honda Motor Co., Inc.

"Customers want their vehicles to be more intelligently integrated with their smartphone-powered lives, and we are committed to delivering that experience starting with Accord, retail car buyers' most popular vehicle the past two years."

The Honda 2016 Accord is sports-oriented and has a very sleek and streamlined exterior. Most of the loose ends fold into the shapely design and the LED fog lights are normally hidden from view.

The aluminum hood is coupled with a snazzy grille. As for the rear lights and rounded bumper, they lend poise and personality to the car beyond what words can convey.

The Sedan and Coupe have 19-inch wheels which roll with the times. The Honda Sensing technology is something which assists the driver in his or her job of maneuvering the vehicle.

Most of the control systems are based on providing the ultimate in security and superiority. The rear view camera and driver’s mirror are out of this world in their structural-functional modes too. Then the vehicle’s audio-visual features also make it a treat to handle.

The Accord audio and digital experience is also upgraded with a 7-inch Display Audio touchscreen interface featuring Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, on EX and above trims, as well as available HondaLink Assist (e911) and HD Radio.

Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are designed to support seamless smart phone integration and offer a multitude of new functions and features.

The 2016 Accord's new 7-inch Display Audio touchscreen is also paired with an upper 7.7-inch high-resolution display screen and steering wheel-mounted controls. The upper screen can display audio settings, turn-by-turn directions, time and trip information, LaneWatch and Rearview Camera displays, incoming calls, SMS text messages when stopped, and parking sensor alerts.

Google Maps, music and other paraphernalia exist among the car’s rich inner sanctum. Couple that with a 4-cylinder, V-6 engine and you have the recipe for a traveling companion.

The 2016 Honda Accord will go on sale in August. However, Honda has not yet announced the price of 2016 Honda Accord.
