Windows 10 Has A Hidden Screen Recorder Built-in

Windows 10 has some cool hidden features

Microsoft is already working hard on Windows 10 and we have been hearing lots of new details about the upcoming Windows as it is nearing its final appearance. For those who are already using the pre-version 10240 will now notice some new tips floating around the OS, due to the updates which were dispatched earlier today.

We already know that Microsoft has added Xbox One to Windows 10 PC game streaming along with Game DVR functionality of the Xbox One; which allows users to record the gameplay on their Windows 10 PC alongside playing the game.

Although it just got revealed by techau that the Game DVR app not only records the game but also records any app that will be currently active on the screen. Apart from recording the games and apps, it is important to note that Game DVR cannot record what is on the desktop and cannot capture the image of the screen.

It is also worth noting here that Game DVR can only record at up to 1080p resolution however, though that may not be a big problem depending on the screen recording. You can start recording by pressing Windows key and ā€œGā€ at once and you are good to go.

Camtasia, which is a paid recording app, offers many fancy features and is very popular. However, Game DVR may not be one on one with Camtasia but its functionality and the free option is definitely appealing.
