Motorola Surprises with Moto X Style, Moto X Play and Moto G

Motorola unveiled not two but three new smartphones today in media event.

It is nice to see that the rumor mill has not leaked everything ahead of the Motorola event about the new Moto X and Moto G smartphones.

Motorola did not just reveal one but two new Moto X phones with the Moto X Style and the Moto X Play.

The Moto X Style or Moto X Pure Edition features a 5.7-inch QHD display, 3GB RAM, 16GB/32GB/64GB, Micro SD Card support (up to 128GB), Snapdragon 808 with hexa-core CPU, 21MP camera, 5MP selfie camera, universal LTE, NFC, All-Day battery.

The Moto X Pure Edition will sell for $399 in September directly from Motorola.

The Moto X Play has a 5.5-inch Full HD display, Snapdragon 615 Octo-core CPU, 16GB or 32GB storage, 2GB RAM, 21MP camera, 5MP selfie camera and NFC. The Moto X Play goes on sale in August.

As expected Motorola also unveiled the new Moto G today.

The Moto G 2015 is IPX7-rated water proof and has Gorilla Glass. Features include all-day battery, 13MP camera, Moto Maker customization, 5-inch HD screen, microSD card slot, 1GB or 2GB RAM, 8GB or 16GB storage and Android Lollipop 5.1.1

Motorola is selling the Moto G for $179.

Motorola has a solid smartphone line-up on their hands that will be able to compete with Samsung for Android phone market share. A missing feature on all three new Motorola phones is a fingerprint sensor for authentication.

Motorola focus's on price has made them focus on the most important features of smartphones: design, screen, battery life and camera.
